How to pray ?

images 168

People are crying enough but they do not get any thing from God. Why ? Because they do not know how to pray and how to make the God please?  In the Bible, you read about Elijah, a man who is well-known for prayer. He was a man of God, who moved the hand of the Almighty God through his prayer and performed glorious miracles (Bible, James 5:17,18). The people of the nation were far away from God. In order to manifest the mighty power of God to those people, Elijah prayed, according to the will of God. When the people of nation prayed earnestly that it would not rain, the Lord shut the heaven. So, there was famine all over the land. Similarly, with great zeal and earnestness,  Elijah again prayed, “Lord, send us rain.” Then the heavens opened and there was a heavy down pour. Hearing Elijah’s prayer, the Almighty God worked accordingly.  This is the reason I am showing you right path to fallow. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Bible, Philippians 4:6)

This is the only way to please the God. If you do so, God will accept your request and He will perform glorious miracles. If you do not know how to pray, you need not worry thinking, “Will it happen if I pray? How to pray? What words should I use? Pour out your heart to the Lord (Bible, 1 Samuel 1:15). Then put your request before God by prayer and petition with thanks by saying  “Almighty God, I know that You are able to make me live well; You are mighty to work miracles in my life. God, It is you who love me dearly, please do perfect everything that concerns me.” Saying so, let Him know of your needs. As you talk to your Lord, say  “I don’t have a job; grant me a good job Lord” or “My business is not doing well; O God, increase my business” or “I’ve lot of debts. Yet, You are the Master of both heaven and earth. Silver and gold are Yours (Bible, Haggai 2:8). ”  Pray earnestly with faith believing that He will do a miracle for you. When you thus pray earnestly in the midst of your sufferings, your weaknesses, your shortcomings and remorse will disappear, the Lord’s presence will fill you. He will do perfect everything for you. Thus,  now pour out your heart in the presence of the Lord. Receive miracles and blessings from His hands. Lord told – “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Bible,  Jeremiah 33:3) As, hearing Elijah’s prayer, the Almighty God worked accordingly. Even today, dear one, you can move the hand of the Almighty God, through your prayers. Earnest prayer is powerful. It is He who is the God, who hears your prayers. This time, God has come down on this earth with new name “Lord Kalki”. This is the correct time to check my advice whether I am showing you right path or not. Thus you must put your request before Him by pouring out your heart in the presence of the Lord and see whether He is performing miracle for you or not?

What commandment has God given you today…?

The supreme Lord desired that His children-man-follow his commandments therefore He got written in the scriptures that if you follow my commandments only then I shall be your God.  The path on which I ask you to walk, walk on that path and then you shall stand benefited. The reason why the Lord said this was because it after completing the act of creating the universe, God made men and women in His own image and blessed them.  He wanted man to enjoy the creation He had made and to make sure that his connection with the Lord remained He made some rules for man to follow.

Adam and eve were his beloved children but they disobeyed His wishes and desires.  This is the reason that Adam and Eve had to be banished from the Garden of Eden.  They were sent down to the earth where they were given clay bodies that died and therefore they had to constantly go through rebirth.  Not only that, the descendants of Adam and Eve had to labor to get their daily bread. They had to experience both suffering and happiness and they had to transit through the cycle of birth and death.

On the earth, the descendants of Adam and Eve multiplied but their ways and morals did not improve.  In fact they became worse and worse and the Lord was left with no option but to cleanse the earth of the descendants of Adam and Eve.  The only one person that God found worth saving was Noah.  He was a religious, God-fearing man who always followed the path of God.  He along with his family was the ones that were saved by putting on the boat that Noah had been ordered to make by God.  The rest were destroyed in the flood.

Before the flood came, God spoke to Noah and warned him of the coming flood and told him that he was the one worth saving.  After the flood receded, God blessed Noah by saving that “go forth and flourish in numbers and wealth and fill the earth with your descendants.

When God had created the worlds He had put plants which would feed man. (Bible, Genesis 1:29) therefore all people on the earth were vegetarians but all these plants were destroyed during  the flood and therefore it was no longer possible to feed man by these means therefore God permitted man to feed upon animals that roamed the earth.  The only injunction was that the flesh that was eaten should not have any life in it when being eaten (Bible, Genesis 9:3-5)  Since that time man became vegetarian as well as non vegetarian and this was valid under the commandments of God.

God gave man 15 rules to follow to lead the righteous life.

  1. Since the beginning of creation, God made man and woman to live together. (Bible, Mark 10:9)
  2. Man would live apart from his father and mother and with his wife and be of one body with her.(Bible, Mark 10:7-8)
  3. The one who has been joined by God may not be separated by man. (Bible, Mark 10:9)
  4. The husband should fulfill the rights of his wife and the wife should fulfill the rights of the husband. (Bible, 1 Corinthian 7:3)
  5. Man must not remain separate from his wife but could after agreement for short periods of time for the purpose of prayer. The rest of the time they should stay together.  It should not happen that the devil may test man because he is not able to control his impulses. (Bible, 1 Corinthians 7:5)
  6. To the ones who are married, the Lord orders the wife to never stay away from her husband and if they separate for some reason both remain unmarried and try to reconcile with one’s partner. (Bible, 1 Corinthians 7:10-11)
  7. A man should love his wife as he loves his own body. The one who loves his wife is the one who loves himself (Bible, Ephesians 5:28)  )
  8. The man is the head of a woman, just the way God is the head for a priest. (Bible, Ephesians 5:23)
  9. All of you should love your wives and the wife should also love and respect her husband and obey him. (Bible, Ephesians 5:33)
  10. The wife should do all her designated duties in a pleasant manner without grumbling and without dispute. (Bible, Ephesians 2:14)
  11. Your way of living should have integrity whether you think the lord observes you or not. When you are still, in the soul of god and in his consciousness, then you should await the good news after doing your duties. (Bible, Philippians 9:27)
  12. Don’t worry about anything. Instead make all your sincere prayers to god with faith, request and with thanks. (Bible, Philippians 4:6)
  13. The women who are the best have the following attributes and qualities. One-beauty. Two calm nature. Three-Truth. Four-pure behavior. Five-dharma. Six-Faithful to husband. Seven-determination. Eight-Bravery. Nine-Speaking auspicious things. Ten-Work ethic. Eleven-your attitude and living style must be according to the Lord’s commandment. Twelve-Sweet words.
  14. The one basic fact that every man must embed into his heart is that there is none other than the supreme lord and Lord Kalki is His avatar. No-one else is of any real value and no pilgrimage or religion can be compared to the supreme Lord. (Padma purana page number 253)
  15. The one who keeps the supreme Lord in his heart and head need not even take a bath since he always remains pure. Such a person has no need to do any pious acts such as sacrifices (Padma purana page number 403)

Why knowledge doesn’t prevent sorrow.

The Lord does a blessing and benediction on man but ignorant people misuse that great blessing.  That misuse is what makes men wicked.  When you live your lives, with the right knowledge embedded in your lifestyles, that’s when you will get stability, peace and joy in your lives. Till knowledge is theoretical, you cannot find peace and happiness from it.  When that knowledge is real for you and is embedded in every action of your lives then that very knowledge will give positive impacts.

Therefore it is important for a seeker to develop devotion and finds means to develop devotion since only that will develop the right attitude when that knowledge will become real for you.

Only by being devoted and by practicing acts of devotion, will the soul granting God be pleased with His devotees.

It is nice to hear high and noble thoughts and philosophies on how-to-live, but there are some ground realities that must be incorporated in one’s life to make any real progress.  It is true that the Lord wants to change your lives for the better.  It is true that the Lord wants to take away your sorrows and give you joy instead.  It is true that the Lord wants to take away your sadness and replace with a deep sense of happiness.  The fact is that it is not you who have chosen to follow the path to God but it is the Lord who has chosen you so that you may bear fruit.  Always remember that if you are the sub-branch then the Lord is the main trunk of the tree.  Till you are attached to the Lord, you will flourish, but the day you remove the Lord from your life your downfall begins and ultimately you will wither away.  Just as the branch of a tree cannot survive or give fruit without being attached to the tree, similarly we cannot survive without being attached to the Lord.

The Lord wants to change the way you live.  He wants to change the way you relate to and function in the world so that you may bear abundant fruit. The Lord wants to transform you and give you a new name.  Do you know what that name is?  The beloved of God; the beloved of God, that’s the name He wants you to have.  And what does the Lord want from you?  That you should have no attachment to this creation and nor all the things that are within creation.  What lies within creation can be the desire of the body, the pleasure of the senses and the feed of the ego.  These are not from the side of the Lord but from the side of creation-Sansaar.  The world and its creations will both vanish away but those who walk as per the wishes of God they shall always remain.  What does the Lord want to give you?  He wants to grant you wisdom. He says to his devotee- “I shall give you wisdom and when you walk on the path of wisdom, I shall guide you and safeguard you.  I will always keep My benevolent gaze upon you.”  But the devil wants the opposite.  He wants to keep you forever trapped in the world.  He seduces you with the things of the world but his aim is to keep you into sorrow.  The devil wants you to never even find the path to God let alone walk on it.

The choice is yours.  Which path do you want to walk on, The Devil’s or the Lords?

What Will Happen After The Death

download 166

Death is indeed a very difficult thing.  Every one is afraiding of death whether the person is rich or poor, strong or weak, a believer of God or disbeliever of God, whether he be a Hindu priest or a Muslim preacher.  Everyone is helpless in front of the inevitability of death.  No-one knows when the time of death will come and where will the soul be taken after death.  The Yamdoot (angels of death) is the greatest powerful and capable and he takes the soul out of the body whatever be the circumstances of the person.  In short everyone is powerless in front of the Yamdoot (angels of death).

The holy scriptures say that the Lord of the body-the soul, when it leaves a particular body, it takes along with it, the mind, the wisdom, and the ego and it is with these things that it enters into another body in its onward journey.  That soul, using the senses (eyes, nose, tongue, ears and touch) and the mind experiences the world around. (Geeta 15:1)

The Lord further says in the Geeta 15:7 that The soul in the body is but a fragment of his own self and that fragment draws around itself the five senses.  Just as the wind waxes its scent from its source, the individual soul waxing the supreme Lord, takes along at the time of death the five senses and the mind and enters into another body.

The Lord further says that this soul in its endless journey is eternal but it takes many bodies all of whom are transitory and temporary. (Geeta 2:17) This eternal soul is never born nor does it ever die in any of the periods of Kaal.  It is never born, eternal and ancient. It doesn’t die even when the body is killed (Geeta 2:20) Just as a person casts away old cloths to wear new ones similarly the soul casts away one body to take on another body. (Geeta 2:22) This soul is imperishable and weapons cannot cut this soul, fire cannot burn this soul, water cannot wet this soul and the wind cannot dry this soul (Geeta 2:23) but when the soul is leaving the body there is intense agony in the body. This agony is like the agony of being bitten by a 1000 scorpions.

The Garuda Purana page number 552 says when the time of death arrives then some time before that some disease enters into the body.  The senses start to fail and all methods of healing fail.  Consciousness starts receding and the messengers of the lord of death Yama come and stand next to the body and start pulling the Prana of the body by force.  At that time the Prana of the body are pulled up to the throat and the mouth is filled with fluid.  At that time the embodied being of the body laments, looks at its home-the body-in grief and is dragged towards the house of death.

At the time of death, the wind element is activated and merges into the fire element which starts using the body as a fuel and starts destroying the capacity of the body to carry life.  This is extremely painful to the body.  This is relevant to ordinary human beings but those persons who are devoted to the Supreme Lord another kind of wind called Udaan gets activated.  All those who are free of indulgence and desire; who are righteous  and who love only the Lord, their death is peaceful and those who are devotees of Lord Narayan, who constantly focus their attention on the supreme Lord, they donot have experience of death.  The Yamdoot (angels of death)  donot come to take their soul, instead the lord of death Darmraj comes with a garland of flowers and gives them permission to go the abode of Lord Narayan.  The rest are dragged by the Yamdoot across the river Vaitarni through the sixteen bridges.

The Garuda purana page number 567 says the distance of the the house of death from the earth is 86000 Yojna this is equal to 1032000 kms.  The soul is dragged though this long distance like a snake or a trapped monkey.  Those who have done a lot of sins in their lives, experience this journey as very troublesome and painful and are made to suffer various punishments.

That sinner after the 13th day is tied to a post and angry Yamdoot strikes the soul repeatedly and take him towards their abode.  That route is filled with thorns, stones and other difficulties such as fire, mosquitoes, intense heat and the soul crying pitiably as it is pulled by the Yamdoot (angels of death). The soul becomes extremely small and weak due to burning and according to its karmas is eaten, bitten by animals and its body is pierced by various animals.  All this causes immense suffering to the soul.

There are 16 bridges on this way.  They are

  1. Yaamya-In this way the soul cries for his progeny and remembers all the misdeeds that he has done and asks to be saved and reaches a river called Pushpa Bhadra.
  2. Sauripur-This place is ruled by a desire-action oriented king, whose very sight scares the soul. There the soul is struck by the Khadak-the weapon of lord of death and proceeds towards Narendranagar.
  3. Narendranagar-There the soul feeds on the offerings that have been made in his name and goes forward. On the way he is rained with blows by the angels of death and in the third month he reaches gandharva nagar.
  4. Gandharva-nagar- There the being feeds on the offering made In the third month and again proceeds to Shailaagampur and is again beaten by the angels of death on the way.
  5. Shailaagampur-there the being feeds on the fourth month offerings by his family and and is struck by stones on his way forward.
  6. Kraunchpur-The being partakes further offerings here and takes rest and reaches Kroorpur after six months.
  7. Kroorpur-In this place the angels of death strike the soul through weapons and the being falls down in terror and then proceeds onwards to Vichitra nagar
  8. Vichitranagar-the being is struck by weapons called shools or spears and the being proceeds to Bahavaapada pur
  9. Bahavaapada pur-The being partakes in the seventh month offering and is again struck by the angels of death and the being proceeds to Dukhpur.
  10. Dukhpur-The being partakes the eigth month offerings and is again given various punishments by the angels of death and proceeds to(11) Nanakrand namak puri,(12) Sutapta bhavan (13) Raudrapuri (14) Payovarshan (15) Sheetadaya puri and (16) Bahubheeti puri and finally reaches the land of death. There the being is sent to those places good or bad depending on the actions that the being has undertaken in his life.

What the being laments as it has to cross the 16 bridges is that why did he not spend his time on earth in worship of the lord.  Why he did not spend his time meditating on the Lord and other such pursuits that would have brought him closer to the supreme lord.  That is why it is essential to do these kind of works while one is able in this human body.  The human body is the only place that the being can elevate himself in the service of the Lord.  Although the name of the Lord is sung in every age and time of Kaal but in this particular time-Kaliyug, the name itself is very Important and the Lord’s sincere worship opens the door of enlightenment and saves one from suffering.  This is why we all must spend our time and attention in uttering the Lord’s name and always remembering Him.

Why Meditation is Piyush for all ?

images 123

Meditation is the primal duty of man and only meditation is the way to purify one’s being. This is why a person should be oriented towards meditation. The following benefits accrue if one does meditation every day.

  1. The person who meditates regularly upturns the flow of Prana from downwards to upwards. A direct result is that at the time of death there is no pain or agony. It is said that for an ordinary man, the pain at the time of death is like being bitten by a 1000 scorpions.  This is avoided by one who meditates.
  2. All that is valuable in this world and in the next world is available to the one who meditates and he gets it without even asking.
  3. There is no better for the removal of sinful acts than Meditation.
  4. Meditation is that fire that burns the seeds of karmas and helps reduce the causes of rebirth.
  5. Meditation is the best way to cross this world of suffering. It is like a boat on which we can cross the ocean of suffering.
  6. Like the wind helps a fire burn down a house similarly meditation is like the wind that helps action-the fire to burn down sins.
  7. Meditation is like the fire that purifies Gold. Meditation turns the Paraná Vaayu inwards and reduces the effects of causes for the person.
  8. The one who meditates everyday has better benefit that one who does all kinds of donations or one who has done 66000 types of pilgrimages or one who does tap or Yagya or even those acts that are meant as penance. All these methods have no value in front of the process of meditation.
  9. The person who is able to cast away laziness even for an instant and meditate deeply achieves heaven but the one who comes under the aegis of Lord Narayana and meditates with total love and devotion, nothing is better than that.
  10. The study of all scriptures and deep thought reveals that meditation should be done only on Lord Narayana.
  11. The one whose nature leads him to commit sins, his salvation lies only by remembrance and prayers to Lord Narayana.
  12. Thousands of dips in the holy river Ganges and tens of millions of dips in the pilgrimage called Pushkar are nothing in comparison meditation upon Lord Narayana even for a moment, if done sincerely. Therefore there is nothing better than focusing one’s attention on lord Narayana.
  13. In this world there is no other act that is as pious and effective as Meditation.
  14. As animals do not take the shelter of a mountain that is surrounded by fire, similarly sin does not come close to a person who is engaged in Yoga and meditation.
  15. The person who comes to know the complete divine-Poorna Brahma and who takes shelter only in the complete divine and who only focuses on the complete divine while meditating, such a person escapes the cycle of birth and death. Such a person never suffers from any setbacks. Even if all the planets are astrologically against such a person, their ill-effects turn into beneficial effects.  That Complete divine is situated in a place called Agamya-jyoti and it is called Anami look –the unnamed place-as well.  That place is 100 crore yojana ahead of Agam lok or Karya brahma and can only be reached by crossing the energy river and this is  place  is also known as the true Golok Dhaam.  This place is self-illuminated-illuminated neither by the sun or the moon neither fire.  The modes of nature are not operative here and neither there is the effect of Kaal or time.  There is no disease there nor old age and nor even death.  The law of karma does not operate here and only those souls can reach here who have love and devotion in their hearts.
