Why we should always have Hope and Faith in God

As we go through life, we face all kinds of situations.  There is no-one who has not faced trouble and difficulties.  We believe that our own actions can lift us out of our difficulties but it happens sometimes that the difficulties are so great that we are overwhelmed and we lose confidence in our own abilities.  That is usually the time that we look towards God for relief.  “Only God can save me now!” is the popular feeling when circumstances are very difficult…

And God doesn’t disappoint.

There is always hope when your trust in God.  God will always help and He will always restore the things that have been taken from you.  He can mend your heartache and bring your family together.  He has the power to provide for your financial needs no matter how impossible they may seem.  He can heal your sickness and break the chains of your addictions.  Most importantly, He can give you the force to conquer any battle you may have to fight.  He knows you personally.  He knows your name.  He has numbered your days. His promise is to never leave you or fail to give you all that you need.

What is required from us to get this grace is also not difficult.  We must never lose faith in Him and we must trust that His solution for our problems would be for our ultimate good even if they seem different from what we expect.  The solution is simple. We should simply surrender our worries and anxious thoughts and let God bring us to a place of peace.   No matter where you are in your life, if you believe in Him, God has a way to reach out to you.

The promises of God are real and He has a way to work out all the things in your life.  He knows what it takes to rescue you from the pain and the struggles of this earth and how to make you stronger for having endured them.  He can do all things for He is the Creator of all that is on this earth and in the heavens.  Nothing is impossible for the Lord.   With complete knowledge and faith in God’s love, we should abandon worry and trust His grand plan, of which we are a part.

Lord has personally said in the scriptures, – “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more important than food and the body more important than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”  (Bible, Matthew 6:25-27)

The truth is this, when we worry, we are showing our lack of faith in God.  I.e. we are assuming that our problems are too big for God to solve.  We are saying in effect that God is not strong enough or loving enough to help us through our trial.

When you give in to worry and fear, you are falling for the lies of Satan, who wants us to lose faith in the Lord and then it would be easy for him to destroy you.  The devil knows that God is more than enough to bring you to victory but he wants you to forget that.

We must always remember that God knew our problems and weaknesses long before we were born and he had made a way to overcome all of them.  He has a perfect plan and a purpose for your life.  Even though you may have fallen short and rebelled against Him, He can always lift you from your past and restore you to wholeness.

What is Eternal Life?

Eternal life means the idea is of life that never ends. It points to an after life where there is no death. Eternal life means escaping the power of death. This life is ruled by death. Everything that lives will die. Physically, there is no way to escape it. But death was not the end of the story for Jesus — God brought Him back to life. In the same way, death is not the end of the story for us. An ordinary man thinks that eternal life means living forever in heaven. But it is more than that. God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Bible, Romans 6:23 has prophesied “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life.” God made a promise to the people who have eternal life: “I Myself will raise him up on the last day” (Bible, John 6:40). That gives you hope for the future, even if life right now is really hard.

Thus we can say eternal life is not is eternal death. Bible, John 3:16 has prophesied – “people with eternal life will not “perish,” a word that means “be totally destroyed.” Bible, Matthew 25:46 talks about “eternal punishment” as the destiny of people whose lives are not lived God’s way. If eternal life is living forever with God, then may be the opposite is dying forever, or maybe it is living forever apart from God.

But eternal life is not just something that starts after you die. It’s also a here-and-now thing. “Eternal life” also refers to the quality of this life. Lord said “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (Bible, John 10:10). “Abundantly,” in the original language, means “more extremely.” When ordinary life is routine and boring, Lord gives you a new life that is XTREME. Eternal life is God’s own life, living in you. Eternal life is full and free, like a natural spring that keeps bubbling up fresh, cool water even in the time of serious drought (Bible,John 4:14).  Eternal life is a life that is full and free and forever. It is peace, joy and assurance. It is comfort, strength and hope. It’s never-ending life with God life in heaven after we die, but it is also abundant life here and now.  Eternal life  is the kind of life all of us really want. It is the kind of life we can never achieve. It is the kind of life God gives us for free when we finally admit how much we need His help.

Third Eye

Ishwar Putra Arun (Aadishri Arun)

The right way to do meditation is to first put all our attention on our third eye.  This is where the opening for the higher journey is and this is the point that leads us to the sahas-dal-kamal.  To be successful we should forget the world, our fears and worries and even our senses and we should concentrate at this point.  Initially as we do this, we will only see darkness.  We should not give up but instead call out the name of the Lord thought to thought. This is called Simran. We should also try to visualize a flame of light and soon it will flash into existence. Once we succeed and we see the light flame, we should go beyond this lighted flame and we will see the blue wheel. We should use our longing for our Lord as a source of energy, strength and determination to pierce through the blue wheel and we will soon arrive at the light that makes us forget everything. We should develop our concentration and practice at this place i.e. the third eye.  The one who does this soon starts the journey from the lower to the higher and from the outer to the inner..

This is the first step to meditation as is revealed by Aadishri Arun.
