How to enter the spiritually oriented life ?

I address all those who believe in the primacy of the creator.  The one who makes oneness with the lord his aim of life, always finds peace The one  whose heart is filled with love for the lord finds liberation in this life itself. The one who is dependent on the lord finds nothing major going wrong since he is protected by the lord himself.  Nothing-not even the wind can harm such a person whose all difficulties, disease and unquenched and troublesome desires fade away.

It is not difficult to enter the spiritually oriented life but there are certain things that one should keep in mind if one wants to find success.  One’s lifestyle and thought process are critical in ensuring progress on the spiritual life.  The following guidelines should be kept in mind.

  1. It is better to trust God than to trust man. (The holy Bible Psalms 118:8)
  2. The one who trusts man is cursed and is liable to be betrayed ( Jeremiah 17:5)
  3. Do not depend on your thought process alone but keep faith in God (Proverbs 3:4)
  4. Do not have faith in the elders of society or any mortal since they do not have the power to grant you liberation (Psalms 146:3)
  5. By a seeker of the lord and try to find all the ways that lead to him and constantly desire his vision. (Psalms 105:4)
  6. The lord is not like man and therefore never lies or deceives and neither does he change his objectives or desires. Is there anything that he has promised and not done? (numbers 23:19)
  7. The person who walks on the path given by the lord, only he should be associated with and he only can be your friend, relative, brother or mother father. (Mark 3:35)
  8. Thrice a day-morning, noon and evening spend an hour in remembrance of the lord. That will keep you on the track and prevent you from committing wrong acts that take you away from the path. This will protect you as well (Shrimadbhagwat secrets)
  9. The lord said that spend three hours a day thinking of me and I will protect you for the remaining 21 hours (Shrimad Bhagwat secrets)
  10. The one who seeks the lord in his old age-his next life is an improvement over his last life but the one who gives his youth to the worship of the lord; he finds liberation in this life itself. (Shrimad Bhagwat secrets)
  11. By offering service to the lord by making physical efforts the attribute of tamas (inertia, sloth) go down. By offering service to the lord through money, the attribute of Rajas (desire driven actions) goes down and by offering one’s mind (attention) to the lord the attribute of sattva goes down.  Since the lord stands apart from all the three attributes hence if one wants to find the lord then one should offer service to the lord through all the three means mentioned above. (Shrimad Bhagwat secrets)

These then are the ways to enter the spiritual pathways that lead to the lord.  The reader has to take a decision about when he wants to actually start walking on this path rather than just thinking or reading about  it.

Why take the Lord’s name?

images (3)In the age of Kaliyug, taking and remembering and chanting the Lord’s name is the one easy way to liberation. The fruits that were obtained in the Sat Yuga by doing meditation, in the Treta Yuga by doing yagyas and in the Dwaapar Yuga by doing prayers are all obtainable in the Kaliyug by simply taking and chanting the Lords name.

Although the name of the lord is of great importance in all the ages but it is of special significance in the age of the demon Kali. This has been mentioned in all the Holy Scriptures.

Just as a lamp cannot be lit without a fire similarly one cannot cross the ocean of birth and death towards the liberation of the soul without remembrance of the Lord.

This is the simplest way.  That is, shift attention from the outer world towards the inner world by constantly remaining in remembrance of the supreme father.

By taking the Lord’s name, the thirst of the mind for the objects of the world reduces, the fear of death recedes and the eternal hope that resides in the soul is fructified.  By taking the lord’s name, the dirt and negative emotions of the mind are blown away and the Jeevatma becomes worthy of a real pilgrimage. The mind becomes still in the lord and the individual forgets his petty worries. And of course by being in constant remembrance of the lord the cycle of death and rebirth are also broken and the Jeevatma finds liberation. By surrendering to the Lord the being finds freedom from all the sorrow causing, negative things of life such as old-age, disease, worry, danger, fear of death.  By surrendering to the lord one finds safety from the difficulties of life and one finds oneself always under divine protection.

The name of the lord is an actual wealth for the devotee.  This wealth and goodwill is always needed by man.  When the Lord’s name falls from the lips of the devotee like drops of rain then all the fires and difficulties of life are extinguished. The lord’s name is the only way to find freedom.  The name of the lord is the real beauty of man and his crowning glory.

Taking the name of the lord with every breath is that necklace which makes an individual glow and makes him truly attractive.

To all the ladies who want to always remain beautiful, my advice is that rather than focusing on jewellery cloths and makeup, take the lords name constantly.  That will give both inner and outer beauty. Imagine how much money you and your husband will save!

The glory of the lord’s name is endless.  The way a servant walks behind his master, the lord himself walks behind his own name.  In the age of the demon Kali, the lord’s name has the protective qualities of the Kalp tree that protects and gives the desired fruit to the devotee.  The name of the lord is the mother & father in this life and the harbinger of the next world.  In Kaliyug, neither action, nor devotion nor knowledge can give liberation as easily as the chanting of the name of the lord.  Druva took the name of the lord and he was granted Druva lok.  Hanuman also kept the lord enchanted by chanting the lord’s name. Lowly Azaamil, Gaj and the prostitute Gadika also found liberation by taking the Lord’s name.  Lord Rama gave liberation to only a few people like Sugriva, Shabri, Jatayu and Vibhishan whom he met and kept around him but his name has given liberation to thousands of people over the millennia.

The point is that the name of Lord Rama is more powerful in giving liberation to the devotees than lord Rama himself.

Brahm-creation has two forms-manifest and unmanifest.  Naam or the lord’s name is greater than even them.

In short the name of the lord is the way in today’s age-Kaliyug and it opens the door to liberation.  After giving this knowledge, I now leave it to the wisdom of the devotee to himself discern about why he should take the name of the Lord.

Secret to Liberation

images (10)Secret means something that is hidden and is not part of general knowledge.  The question is-Why do people not find Liberation even when they say that they want it?  The reason is that the way to liberation is a secret way.  Brothers-remember that the boat has to be in the water-there is no other way for it to exist but if the water comes above the level of the boat then the boat sinks in the ocean.  In the same way, the mind has to live in this Sansaar-world but if instead of getting overwhelmed by the world and its pleasures and pains, if that mind is able to focus on the creator then that mind finds freedom and liberation.  If the things of the world; if outward appearances of things in the world and / or subjects concerning the world, arouse deep interest in the mind and come to reside in the mind then liberation is not possible.  Why is this so?  Because when the Jeevatma-the individual soul leaves the body at the time of death it forgets the body quickly but the Jeevatma does not forget the mind.  In fact it carries along the mind with it even after death.  It is the very same mind and its interests and desires that lead to the formation of the next birth of that Jeevatma.

We may obsess about our bodies but do we even remember the body we had in our previous births? But the mind of the earlier lives is alive in this body and till it desires the objects of this world it will continually come back to this world to experience those objects. This is what drives the cycle of birth and death.  Therefore if liberation is desired then the mind must be understood and its attachment to this ever-changing meaningless world must be redirected to the only true and eternal thing in this world-the supreme lord.

This is why I ask all of you to always put your attention on the supreme lord. Think of him all the time, Dream of him and imagine what he would be like.  When a majority of your attention is focused in this way progress towards liberation will be made.

This is the way but for most of us, money, business, happiness, sorrow, and other material objects are more important and the mind obsesses about these things rather than the lord.  Therefore I say to you that those things that bind you, those that naturally draw your desire and attention, surrender those very things to the lord.  But since you don’t do this, liberation is not achieved by you.

There is no need to do various acts to achieve liberation.  There is no need to close one’s eyes to the reality or take Sanyaas; there is no need to do Pranayam.  The negation of the mind happens naturally on its own when it has no resistance to anything outside itself.  When that states happens simply and without effort or resistance then liberation dawns on its own.  Therefore it is said that if donation is given by the left hand then even the right hand should not know about it so that the mind is not activated.  Who is the one in bondage?  It is the mind and therefore liberation is also of the mind.  The soul does not need liberation since its inherent state is that of liberation.

The soul is eternally free.  It always exists and never changes, ages or dies or is reborn.  The body dissolves into the five elements but the soul never changes and nothing can affect it. (Geeta 2:20) The soul simply changes bodies when a person dies just as I and you discard old clothes to wear new ones. (Geeta 2:22)

The soul can simply not be altered.  It cannot be cut nor burnt nor wetted nor dried (Geeta 2:23)

By constantly thinking about subjects and objects of the world the mind gets trapped in the world but if the mind goes inwards towards thoughts, dreams and imaginations about the supreme father then it is liberated and the work is done since the soul is already liberated.

There was a round pot with a narrow mouth.  Someone had kept chickpeas in that pot. A monkey came and put his hand inside the pot to take out the chickpeas.  The hand went in since it was open and straight but as the monkey grabbed the chickpeas he had to close his fist to extract the chickpeas.  Now the diameter of the hand became larger than the mouth of the pot and the monkey was unable to extract his hand as long his hand was balled into a fist.  The monkey sat like that crying that he was trapped and could not find liberation!  He yelled and shouted that he desperately wanted freedom and requested everyone’s help but refused to open his fist since that meant that he would lose the chickpeas!

How silly is that!  So if you feel trapped and feel that you are unable to find freedom inspite of trying hard then think about what your mind is obsessed with.  Think of that subject and release it, surrender it into the feet of the divine.  Also try to find out what and where the mind truly disappears.  If you can’t figure it out let me tell you.  The mind truly disappears only in the supreme lord.  Therefore put your attention only in the supreme lord and you will find freedom and liberation.

What is the real truth about what a Guru Is ?

images (6)

The person who has done great penance in his last life, only he is blessed with a true Guru in this life.  The true Guru is the one who acquaints a person with the nature of reality and is more precious than even one’s mother and father since the life mother and father give will fade away one day but what the Guru gives is the soul’s true companion and guide through all births.  The Guru is the most supreme of all since if Shiva ji is angry with a person, the Guru can save that person from Shiv ji’s wrath but if the Guru himself is angry with a person no power in the universe can save that person.

The truth is that the one who gives knowledge about the nature of creation-Brahma Vidya-is the Lord himself.  This is reiterated in all the Holy Scriptures.  The help that the Guru provides is so vast that it can never be paid back therefore the disciple is always a borrower from his Guru and can never repay that debt.  It is only when the guru is completely pleased with the disciple that the guru may release the disciple from his debt.  Therefore the disciple should be completely alert about the feelings and wishes of the Guru-spoken or unspoken and fulfill them with all sincerity and devotion and to the best of one’s ability.  But only that Guru is the true guru who gives his disciple the name of Lord Vishnu as his seed mantra.  The one who gives some other name is one who damages the prospects of the disciple to achieve final liberation.

The supreme Lord said that after sending Kabeer and Guru Nanak He has sent no other Guru.  He further said that in the present age, various gurus without His order or mandate speak of him and the scriptures.  The Lord said that their words are false as they have no right to become gurus.  These people have become prophesier and they make predictions without his permission.  If they were truly His believers then they would have spoken of His true words to their disciples. They would not indulge in evil and immoral acts. (Bible, Jeremiah 23:21-22) In the present times, corrupt-natured, wrong-behaviour, sin-committing men have become Gurus and they are bringing into disrepute the name and position of the Guru.

The Lord says that can anyone hide in any place that He cannot see? He says that He has heard the speeches of these pretenders and He knows what is in their minds and hearts.  These people are the Sayers of those things that are lies in their own minds.  What these speakers really want is to mislead the devotees by telling them stories and dreams and take them away from the real path of  God. (Bible, Jeremiah 23:24 -27) In other words these charlatans misuse the blind seeking of the devotees soul towards the supreme Lord to further their own selfish ends.

The Lord further warns that those who have not been sent by him or been given permission by him, when they speak of what the lord told them in their dreams so that they may mislead the people, He-the Lord- is completely opposed to such people. (Bible, Jeremiah 23:32) For such people, the Lord specifically warned that he would punish not only them but their families as well. (Bible, Jeremiah 23:34)  In the holy Quran, Sur jumar 39 Aayat 27& 30-31 page number 733, the Lord sent his messenger to warn such people and got written in the holy Quran that such leaders will die and their followers wil also die.  He said-“You will argue and fight with each other on judgment day and your judgment shall be done.”

Now the question follows that in the Kaliyug, who will give the true knowledge Brahma-Gyana to the people ?  To answer that question of his children, the Lord sent His messenger and got  written in the Holy Scriptures that “I shall send My son to guide you all.”

How do we recognize the son of god ?  That person will firstly not call himself a Guru but Son of God.  The son of god has been given the charge of the heavens and earth and he has been given the responsibility to preach to the people and to give the right knowledge to them and that knowledge has to be given to all people regardless of their caste, religion or sex.  All the people have to be given the knowledge in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Father further said that He would live with His son always even unto the end of the world (Bible, Mathew 28:18-20)

That is why in the age of the demon kali, the son of God came down to earth and did not call himself a Guru but called himself Son of God instead and he took on his role and responsibility on 14th of Oct 1989.  He told the people that- first learn what is the meaning of the word Guru.  And then find out what does a Guru wants from his devotees and what are the qualities that are a must in a Guru.  This must be known since today there are many people who cheat and fleece people by calling themselves Gurus.  The Lord says that He is warning the people since He does not want His children to fall prey to false gurus.

The word Guru itself consists of two letters “Gu” which means the state before attributes and “Ru” which means the form before the formation of the physical body.  So the guru is the person who removes the veil of nature-the physical form and takes one to a state before the formation of physical nature itself-that is the domain of pure spirit.

All the things of the world have been created as a combination of the three attributes of nature. Raj-Sat-Tam.  Tamas created the physical body.  Rajas created the mind and the 10 sensory organs and Sattva makes wisdom-the power of discrimination.

That person who does the work of detaching the individual soul from its attachment to these three things-the physical body with its 10 sensory organs, the mind and wisdom, that person is worthy of being called a Guru.

The body has the 10 organs of the senses, above that is the mind and above the mind is wisdom and above this intelligence resides the soul.  That person who makes your senses stronger than your body, the mind stronger than the senses, Wisdom stronger than the mind and the soul stronger than all,  that person who helps the individual do that, is called the Guru.

When we step back to a state that is before the state of body or mind then we will reach the state that is before the three attributes and we will reach the state of the soul.  Just as smoke covers fire and dust covers the mirror, similarly desire covers wisdom that is the true guide.  When desire disappears, wisdom comes. Do you know what the fruit of wisdom is?  It is the destruction of the fruits of karma.  When that happens then the constant coming and going that the soul has to undergo through various births is stopped.  Therefore if a person is able to completely destroy his desires for the objects of the world he will achieve Moksha-self realization in this very instance.  Always remember that just as a fire destroys feeds on fuel to burn and consumes it, similarly the fire of wisdom using the karmas as a fuel burns them to ashes.

The best knowledge of all is Brahma Gyana.  After knowing this knowledge no other knowledge remains to be learnt.  This knowledge is the king of all knowledge.  It is the king of all secret knowledge, it is utterly pure and blessed and it gives fruit the very instance it is practiced perfectly.  It is easy as well and is eternal.

The fruit of Brahma Gyana is the release from the cycle of birth and death and the merging of the soul with the oversoul-with God. This is the only way to realization and Moksha and there is no other way.  Therefore now the significance of the Guru becomes clear.  He is that person who guides the deluded, desire driven soul on the correct path of Brahma Gyana.  That is the kind of Guru that the individual should seek.

The question then is-who is that Brahma-Gyana knowing Guru?  He is that person who has knowledge of the Vedas.  Who at least knows the secret of Shabd brahma, the one who knows Surat-Shabd yoga and who has practically walked the path to the final destination-Poorna brahma.  The one who is away from deceit and fraud. The one who can get his disciples to practically walk the right path to Poorna brahma and who is not interested in the accumulation of wealth for the sake of being wealthy.  To such a person go and learn the path of Brahma Gyana.  When obeisance Is paid at the feet of such a person and by being in the service of such a person and by asking genuine questions without malice, the path will be shown by that all knowing Guru and with that you will be able to see the entirety of creation first within yourself and then everywhere outside you being.

This is why the place of the Guru in the hierarchy is kept higher than even the supreme Lord who he represents since it is through the auspices of the guru that the way to the Lord be found.  Therefore no price is less for finding or pleasing the Guru.  Saint Kabeer says that even if one has to sacrifice one’s head it is worth it if it enables the deluded soul to find the right Guru.

When to pray?

Timdownload 142e has  fixed to do every work ; for example time for weeping, time for laughing, time for sleeping, time for awakening, time for sowing the seed, time for harvesting etc exactly the time is fixed for doing prayer also in our daily life. Bible has also  prophesied very clearly concerning these above things  in Ecclesiastes and at the same time in Psalms also. You must see what the Biblical prophesy says? Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:1 has prophesied -“To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the Heaven.”  Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:2 has prophesied -“A time to be born and a time to be die; A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:4 has prophesied -“A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance.” Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:6 has prophesied -“A time to get and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away.” Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:7 has prophesied -“A time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silence and a time to speak.”  similarly time is fixed for doing prayer also. Bible, Psalms 32:6 has prophesied – “This is the reason every one should pray in a time when He (God) may be found.” What is proper time when He may be found? In the morning (before Sun rise i.e Brahm Muhurt). Early in the morning God will hear your prayer and at the same time He will help you a lot than your expectation. When you seek the Lord early in the morning, pour out your heart at His feet and pray for all your needs, He shall surely hear your prayers and will work miracles in your life. On this blessed day, He will reveal Himself to you, when you seek Him in truth. You shall see Him (Bible, Psalm 145:18). Tell the Lord your needs, boldly. Then, He shall surely be with you, hear your prayers, bless all that you do and prosper you.

To-day, Lord has promised to do miracle for you and  to change all your sufferings into joy. He is going to give you the reward for all your labours and for your prayers. Perhaps, you are languishing in worries and burdens concerning your children’s health, education, financial needs of the family, crisis in the business and so on.

Bible, Ephesians 3:20 has prophesied – “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”. It is the Lord, who has the heart to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think. He will give, what we ask, in double fold. He showers His love on us, exceedingly abundantly above all that we expect; He will willingly give us all that we desire. It is the Lord, who cares for us and is concerned that we should enjoy glorious blessings. You may prepare yourself reverentially to offer an acceptable prayer to Him. But with much concern He asks you, “What should I do for you?” (Bible, Matthew 20:32; Mark 10:36). He lovingly inquires of you and tells you, “My hand is not shortened that it cannot save (Bible, Isaiah 59:1).

Lord desires to save you; desires to miracles for you; desires to wipe away your tears; desires to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you desire and desires to exalt you; desires to remove your tears and grant you honour, prosperity and joy in double fold (Bible, Isaiah 61:7). It is because of His tremendous love that He has for you.

When you cry pray to the Lord saying, “Lord You alone are my refuge,” the Lord hears that prayer. He never despises the prayer of the destitute. Bible, Psalm 102:17 has prophesied, “He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and shall not despise their prayer.” Surely, Lord will do such wonderful things in your life. Keep faith in God and ask the God for the things that you need that He has promised in His Word. Believe as though God has already answered your prayer. Don’t give up until you see the manifestation of God’s promises in your life.
