Faith in God – AADISHRI ARUN

fai

Faith in God is a prerequisite for a happy life. Why is this so? And why do people have a problem with faith? Human beings tend to only believe in what they can see, taste, hear, smell, or feel; it’s limited to the five senses. We sit in a chair and believe that it will hold us because we can feel the chair through our five senses. We are ready to fly in airplanes even when we don’t fully understand how they work, and even if we don’t know the pilot, but we trust that everything will be okay. This is because we can see that the airplane works. We can see it flying-taking off and landing and we have the experience of other people to bank upon that it is safe to fly. That is also faith, but a faith that has been verified by our five senses.
What if I asked you to sit in a chair you can’t see? Or what if the chair was missing one of its legs and was falling over? You wouldn’t sit in a chair like that with human faith. Would you fly in a plane if you could see that the engine was falling off or the tires were flat? Your senses would forbid it.
This is where the problem lies with respect to having faith in God. God is unseen and his hand, although everywhere, cannot be seen by our limited five senses. You haven’t seen God or the devil. You haven’t seen heaven or hell. You haven’t seen a situation where your sins had been taken away, therefore, you wouldn’t know what you would look like if your sins were taken away. This is why we have no faith in God. He hasn’t been verified by our five senses.
Not only that, as humans, we are constantly being told about our own infallibility. We are told to promote ourselves at the cost of others. The fact is that in modern life we have been told that we are individually responsible for our life. We are told that the results we get are because of our efforts and our own competence and that we are solely responsible for the success and failures of our life. We are told that there is no need to depend on God or even to believe in him since we are in charge of our life.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Our actions may lead to our results but even a cursory examination of life tells us that there is more to our life than simply our efforts. We live as part of a system that is highly complex. From the universe to the solar system, to the planet, to the bio-sphere-we are helplessly dependent on the goodwill and the smooth functioning of things that we simply have no idea about. We may be living a luxurious life due to our efforts and our intelligence but what about the oxygen we breath? Have we created it? Could we live even for a moment without it? And the water and the temperature of the place we stay? What if it was all different? Could we survive by our efforts or intelligence? To think that we are separate and independent of this highly complex system that we see around us is simply a foolishness. This system is so precise that scientists marvel at it. They say that if the laws of physics were even 0.000001% different from what they are, life would not exist!
Thus there is strong evidence that we are part of a system that has been designed and is maintained by a conscious, intelligent entity. The conscious and intelligent entity is usually called God!
That leads us to an inescapable conclusion. If our universe is a conscious act of creation then it follows logically that this creation must be having a purpose and the Creator must be having a plan behind this creation. Please note that I am not making a religious argument here. I am simply making a logical argument for the existence of this universe where we all live.
This we are all part of the Creator’s plan. We may not know our ultimate purpose but logic tells us that it must exist.
Logic also tells us that the creator should be nudging us towards our ultimate purpose and that he knows better than us about what we are supposed to become.
This belief-in the Creator and his grand plan- my friends is called Faith!
Without this faith it is impossible to connect to God, so our relationship with the Lord is dependent on it. Faith is what brings the things God has provided for us from the spiritual realm into the physical realm since we start doing what God intends for us rather than what we intend for ourselves. Our faith is the victory that enables us to overcome the world. Everything the Lord does for us is accessed through faith.
What if someone doesn’t have faith? He will still live no doubt. He will a passenger on the ship of life, experiencing whatever is owed to him but he will never be able to progress towards God and realization since he doesn’t believe in it or desire it.
What does God do with those who don’t believe in God? God simply lets them be a part of creation. After-all there are many parts of creation that simply exist and do nothing else. Like stones, rocks and mountains!
So if you want to reach your highest potential and be the best you can ever be, then you must have faith in the Creator and aspire to reach him. You must develop that Faith even though your five senses don’t see God..

Causes of Worry and Cure -Ishwar Putra Arun

hjWorry, feeling uneasy or troubled, seems to plague multitudes of people in our world today. It’s human nature to be concerned about the bad situations in our world and in our personal lives, but if we’re not careful, the devil will cause us to worry beyond what’s reasonable.
Worry is like a rocking chair—it’s always in motion but it never gets you anywhere. So why do we struggle with it? And what good does it do? Worry is the opposite of faith, and it steals our peace, physically wears us out, and can even make us sick. When we worry, we torment ourselves—we’re doing the devil’s job for him! Worry is caused by not trusting God to take care of the various situations in our lives. Too often we trust our own abilities, believing that we can figure out how to take care of our own problems. Yet sometimes, after all our worry and effort to go it alone, we come up short, unable to bring about suitable solutions.
“ Worry is like a rocking chair—it’s always in motion but it never gets you anywhere. ”
The only way to have victory in our lives is to play by God’s rules, and He says we must quit worrying if we want to have peace. So when things come our way that cause us to be concerned, we need God’s help. How do we get it? Bible, I Peter 5:6-7  lists two important steps: (1) Humble yourselves, and (2) Cast your care on Him.
That seems pretty clear and simple, yet some continue struggling because they’re too bull-headed to ask for help. But the humble get the help. So if your way isn’t working, why not try God’s way? All of us would be better off if we’d learn to lean on God and ask for His help. But as long as we try to do everything ourselves, God will let us. He won’t take care of our problems and worries—our cares—until we turn loose of them and give them to Him. Either we’re going to do it or God’s going to do it, but both of us aren’t going to. Now, casting your care doesn’t mean you can be irresponsible. God won’t do for you what you can do yourself. You must do what you can do, and then trust God to do what you can’t. When we humble ourselves and ask for His help, then He’s able to release His power in our situations. It’s only then that we can really enjoy life.
The important thing to understand is that there are some things about our situation or problem that we can do something about and there are some things that we can’t control about our situation. Our wisdom would be in knowing the difference. We must know when to push hard with our effort and when to let go and depend on God.
The fact is that we can’t see the grand picture and what is best for us (ultimate good) while God can. We may think that we know what is best for us, but in God’s vision for us, it may not be. So after giving our best shot to achieve our goal, we should let the final results depend on God.

So the cure for worry is humbling ourselves before God, casting our cares on Him, and trusting Him. Instead of making ourselves miserable trying to figure everything out on our own, God wants us to place our trust in Him and enter into His rest, totally abandoning ourselves to His care. I know that when we are able to believe and say, “God, I trust You,” it will literally change our lives. Bible, Psalm 37:3 says, Trust…in the Lord and do good…. God didn’t create us to worry about helping ourselves all the time. He wants us to sow good seed by reaching out to help others. When we simply trust God and get busy doing the good things we know to do, then He’ll bring a harvest of blessings into our lives and meet our needs.

You Are Not Alone!

dl

To the seeker and a lover of God, I have a heartening message. You are not alone.  And the person that looks after you is God Himself! This may sound farfetched since we face so many difficulties in life that it is easy to doubt the benediction of God. Everyone has storms and difficulties in their lives But God will never leave His seeker.

God acts in many ways to help you. Sometimes God will calm the storms in your life.  Other times He may act like an anchor that you can tie yourself to and at other times, God may offer Himself as shelter so that you can weather the storm in His protection and under His wings.  God chooses what to do out of His divine wisdom and according to His divine plan and we must trust that since rest assured, as the Scriptures say, He will never leave you.  The scriptures do not promise an easy life living as a God’s seeker, but it does promise that you will never be alone.

The scriptures advice that, you must keep your lives free from the love of excess money and be content with what you have. The scriptures also say-Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. The scriptures further re-enforce this point by saying that- God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

The most common theme in God’s teachings is that – Not to fear and to be of good courage.  If you are currently enduring trials, storms and tribulations and you would like to be prayed with and prayed for, I am available to help.

The Bible is full of stories of men and women who endured hardships, sorrow, anguish and disappointment.  Daniel found himself in a den of lions, Joseph was betrayed by members of his own family, his own brothers threw him into a well, and then sold him as a slave to a passing caravan.  Then there is the story of Job, who lost his fortune, his lands, his family and then endured challenging physical hardships.  Everyone faces points of trial and crisis, where we feel crunched, pinched and abandoned by various circumstances.

Some people turn mean-spirited, resentful and throw out blame toward others for their circumstances.  But believers in God and His son, who have the Holy Spirit, know how to immediately turn to God for hope, comfort, guidance and peace when serious troubles come knocking on our doors.  How we choose to respond to trials, hardships and troubles affects God’s blessings on our lives.

If you think that your troubles are out of God’s reach.  Or if you think that the person that you are praying for is beyond hope.  You are wrong. God is as dependable as a rock and he will never let down His seeker.

God’s Promises for Children, Family and Marriage

We are living in the kingdom of Kali. People calls it Kali Yuga and as per the Holy Bible and the Holy Quran, these are called the end of the days.  This is a time of great strife and difficulty and a time that is full of grave dangers, natural disasters and of man betraying man for the sake of petty gain.  As we look around us we see ample evidence of this.  This century has been full of major natural disasters, climate change, ecological disasters, strange and new diseases and wars.  Even as I write this, the conflict in Syria is on and going from bad to worse.  We have just experienced the worst forms of brutality and the world’s most powerful body-The United Nations is helpless in preventing the slaughter, rape and destruction of innocent people.  Man has failed to protect the weak and the helpless and the decent and good people of the world can only turn to the Lord for help.  The question is that the Lord has promised us many things in the scriptures but will He fulfil these Promises? And if He  fulfils these promises then how will He do so?  The question we are all asking is-What form will the fulfilling of the promises take? The answer is that the fulfilment of these promises will be done through the appearance of a great surprise or will be done as miracles.

God has promised that He will save your children and His promise will never be lie.  Bible, Isaiah 49:25 has prophesied -“For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.” God calls husbands and wives to a mutually beneficial marriages.  Bible, 1 Corinthians 7:3 has prophesied – “Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.”

God Promises Wisdom and Guidance

b

God has given essential knowledge for His children is found in His Word. Lord’s word is wisdom and purpose is to have the ability to apply knowledge to everyday in life. It is in the reading and understanding of God’s Word that you obtain knowledge, and meditating upon that knowledge  brings wisdom.

Wisdom is one of God’s promises. Bible, James 1:5 says – “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” God gives wisdom and guides you. Bible, Psalms 32:8 says – “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Bible, Proverbs 3:5-7 has prophesied – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.” God promises to guide you on His pathway. Bible, Isaiah 30:21 has prophesied – “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
