There is one question that troubles most devotees of the Lord. That question is that even after accepting God as the prime focus of their lives, they find that the difficulties of life do not lessen. They still face all the difficulties, trials and tribulations that they had faced earlier. That accepting the Lord and surrendering to Him does not seem to change their lives for the better.
That’s when most people start doubting the Lord and their faith in the Lord gets shaken. Devotees also face a lot of sarcasm from their near-and-dear ones who taunt them by saying-“What is the use of praying to the Lord, when the Lord does not make your life better?”
This is the point that is being answered in this article. The Lord says we are His children, that He promises us happy and joyful lives but the reality that all men face as they go through this cyclic journey is that how will they manage their problems. This constant stress results in the absence of peace of mind and absence of joy in our lives. And even after surrendering to the Lord the situation remains the same.
How can we re-council or explain these two things. The Lord can never utter a false-hood and His words have to come true, then how can we explain the apparent contradiction?
To understand this contradiction we have to understand three things. First -Who is God, second-who are we and the third is how God created this universe where we live.
When we understand this, then everything falls in place and we lose that doubt and sorrow. We develop that faith that is so necessary for the Lord’s promise to work.
The fact is that God is the father of the universe and our soul is part of the Lord Himself. We are His children and we are He Himself in a deluded form. But if that is true then why do we go through sufferings? The answer lies in how this universe was created. God first created Kaal, who was then given the task of creating this universe. Kaal created this universe through first creating illusion and ignorance. Through that illusion, Kaal created separation between the Lord and us. He also created through Maya, temptations that kept our focus and attachment on the creation he had created, rather than on the father of creation. This is why we are unable to experience God even though we are He Himself. Kaal took the promise from God that He would never show direct miracles or interfere with the law of Karma. Kaal took this promise because that was the only way the universe could be created. The law of Karma is the basis of the universe and if the law of Karma is tampered with then there will be a problem in the running of the universe itself. We notice that even when the Lord takes Avatar, He rarely takes recourse of open miracles and He works through His devotees rather than taking direct action Himself.
This is why even though we surrender to the Lord, we have to still face the balance Karmas that we have created and for which we have to pay for. This is why our troubles do not lessen and even sometimes increase since the process of winding up of our Karmas is accelerated when we surrender to the Lord. But that does not mean that nothing has changed. By surrendering to the Lord, we have taken the most important step in getting liberated. We have said to the Lord that we want him instead of His creation. The Lord listens to our prayers and is there to help us in case of any real trouble. The devotees may notice that their troubles continue but when the situation is about to get out of hand, some mysterious force comes to rescue as well. The mysterious force is the Lord Himself! When we truly want the Lord and are not praying to Him because we desire worldly things then we are truly protected and once our Karmas are worked out we will find liberation. Those who don’t take this step are forever doomed to constantly go through the cycle of birth and death and at the time of the dissolution, their souls also face disintegration. Mostly people are not true devotees. They pray to the Lord for fulfilling their worldly desires but very few really want the Lord alone. Mostly want small trinkets from Him and the Lord gives them those trinkets as per the Law of Karma but those people who understand that the universe is not worth anything and only the Lord is real then those people step beyond the bounds of Kaal and into the protection of the Lord Himself.
To the true devotee, the Lord is ever present and protects him at all times. The Lord on seeing such a devotee nervous and joyless even takes avatar and comes down to the earth in physical form. Even today the Lord has come down to the earth. Today He comes with the new name ‘Kalki’. He will fulfil all the promises He has made to His true devotees through great surprises or through miracles. Today people take the promise of the Lord lightly and think that those promises will never be fulfilled. All the things that you want to have in your life, the Lord is easily able to provide but what is required from you is to have faith in the Lord just as Moses had faith in the Lord. It is said that Moses had so much faith in God that God would speak to Moses face to face.
We need to develop the same kind of faith in the Lord.
God has a unique plan for all of us. It can be said that He has a custom made crown for each of His devotees and He tests His devotees. The bigger the test, the bigger the crown He gives.
In Bible, James 2:5 it is prophesied – … Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised this to all those who love Him. So be of good cheer today. If you are suffering under great trials, God understands. He sees everything you are going through and He promises a crown of life for all who love Him.
So don’t give up, keep on going, for one day we will all be wearing a crown of life created for us by our loving Father. He has promised in Bible, Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye”.
The promises of God start with II Timothy 3:16, in the bible where God tells us that all Scriptures in the Bible are inspired by God.
With this promise of God in hand we can then be assured that what we learn in the Bible comes from Him!
I ask you – Are you standing on the promises of God today? Is God your all-in-all?
The first promise of the Bible, Genesis 3:15 is, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” This was further confirmed in Bible, Galatians 4:4; Luke 2:7; Revelation 12.5.and the last promise found in the Bible, Revelation 22:20 says, “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’
According to the Bible readers, there are total 30,000 verses raised against doubt – every verse being a promise that God makes to us. I am asking you – do we believe in even TEN promises of God? Check yourselves whether you believe in even the following TEN Verses about God’s Promises or not: This will indicate whether you have faith in the Lord or not.
