Aadishri taught – Seven rules to be happy

Aadishri taught – Seven rules to be happy

be happy

For his disciples Aadishri Arun taught to  following Seven rules to be happy :

  1. All people have good and bad qualities. It is better to look at the good qualities of a person than his bad qualities. It is a normal human tendency to look at the negative qualities of another person rather than his positive qualities.  But those people, who look at the positive qualities of others, are happier people. Not only must you look at the positive qualities of a person, you must also look at the positive things in every situation you face in life. For example, if you are not selected for a job interview, then rather than feel depressed, you can think that God has kept an even better job for you and you will get it sooner or later. People may say that ‘whatever happens happens for good only’ but they rarely believe it when times are bad. It is not easy to see the good in other people and to do that you must ask the specific question-What is good in that person? When you ask that question, believe me, you will find many positive qualities in that person who earlier you thought badly off.
  2. The people who want to be happy must learn to forgive others. When you forgive, you also forget and that reduces the burden of negative emotions that you carry. The people who remain happy don’t take to heart the small problems of life. They know how to forgive, not only others but themselves as well. Happy people have no ego issues and don’t have a problem asking for forgiveness from others if they have hurt others. They have realized that Ego is worthless and it sets the wrong balance in life. They have no problem saying sorry.
  3. Those who want to remain happy must develop a strong social support system around themselves. There are two pillars to that support system-family and friends. Family and friends have a very big contribution to the state of happiness of a person. You may well have wealth and status but if you don’t have family and friends to share it with then you will not be able to remain happy for long. Therefore as much as possible, make your relations with friends and family good. Wishing them on their birthday; giving genuine compliments; meeting them with a smile on your face; meet them with warmth-all this makes your relationships strong. If you do this, then this is what you will get in return as well and this will make you peaceful and happy. All those who want to be really happy in life should follow this one basic advice.
  4. Those who want to be happy must do work which appeals to them and do it with their full attention. Most people are not fortunate enough to do that work that suits their mentality. The reason is that when most people start their careers, they don’t have much idea about what they suited for. But if you find yourself doing a job that you don’t like, still pour your heart and mind in it.  You will discover that you will get good at it and you will be happy.
  5. Those who want to be happy must learn not to give too much importance to their thoughts that flit in and out of their minds. On an average 60000 thoughts cross the mind of the average person every day and most of these thoughts are negative. If you start paying attention to these negative thoughts then it will be difficult-nay very difficult to ever be happy. What you should do when you find negative thoughts coming is to ignore them and not start dwelling on them.  You should tell yourself-what if what I am thinking doesn’t come true? And even if is true then what I am thinking of as bad for me, may actually be good for me? This counter thought will create peace.  There is biology behind what I am saying.  Negative thoughts- worry and fear- that cause certain chemicals such as adrenalin to be released in your body and that raises your blood pressure and puts pressure on all your organs while positive thoughts do the opposite.
  6. To be happy, one has to associate one’s life with a higher cause-a higher purpose. Once a lady saw three laborers carrying bricks at a construction site. She asked the first laborer about what was he doing.  He replied rather rudely-‘Can’t you see that I am carrying bricks?’ She then asked the second laborer, “What are you doing? He replied, “I am working so that I can earn money to feed myself and my family.’ Then she asked the third laborer about what he was doing. His reply? ‘I am working on a building that is going to be a biggest and most opulent temple of this town.’  The reader can guess for himself which person would be the happiest of the three and doing the best job.
  7. Those who want to be happy must take responsibility for their life and their actions. They should not be in victim mode or in a reactive mode. They should believe in changing their life by their own actions. If something bad happens, they don’t blame others. For example such people-if they are late for office, they don’t blame the traffic, they instead plan to leave earlier next time. Happy people may give the credit of their success to others but never the blame for their failure. Those who blame others for their problems and failures only get angry and those who put the onus on themselves may initially get a bit disheartened, but they soon get to working things out so that failure can be turned to success next time around. This results in their energies being well spent-not in blaming others but in improving themselves. Since the power to change things comes from this kind of attitude that person remains in command of his life and is therefore happy.

Only One God

Only One God

Only One God

One Caste, One religion and only one God-This spirit can be sown only by total belief and total passion.  Only those people who have that passion in their heart can transfer it to others. I believe that my living style is as per the wishes of the almighty Lord. Success is the proof of right or wrong in the material world. People all over the world have the belief planted firmly that there are many religions, castes and faiths and it is always more difficult to fight the beliefs of people than fight against their knowledge since knowledge can always be changed by pointing out different facts. Struggle is the genesis of all things. Mankind has become strong because of the struggle of the true religion against false beliefs. It is only through a peaceful life that the belief tree of multiple gods, multiple faiths and many castes can be removed from the root. Surat-Shabd Yoga is the way to bring peace to people’s hearts and convince them that there is only one mankind and only on God. The truth is that the souls of all men are individual drops of the vast ocean of God’s soul. This soul-drop, wears the soul of individuality, enters creation to take part in the play of God. But that does not mean that the soul can be divided into various divisions. The divisions that are caused by the belief in various types of Gods, Different castes and faiths should be removed from the hearts of the individual souls and from society-this is the demand of the times – Aadishri Arun

Aadishri’s message to All

Aadishri’s message to All

Aadishri’s message to All

This message is addressed to all the lazy, indolent and careless people of the world. I say that If you really want something from your heart, the entirety of creation gets together to help you achieve it. This is the secret of success in any endeavor.  Remember that everything that you see around you, started from literally nothing. You cannot cross the river only by standing on the bank and looking at the water. If you want something to happen well, do it yourself. Do your work so efficiently and silently that the only sound that comes is of the acclaim of its success.  Do your work in what you believe in regardless of whether people praise your endeavors or not. Do you not know that the Sun rises even though half the world remains sleeping? Victory and defeat are relative. If a so-called defeated man still smiles, then the one who has defeated him loses the taste of victory.

There are three kinds of gems in the world. These are water; grain and Sky.  Yet the foolish people of the world call pieces of stone as gems. Do not be disturbed by the immensity of your requirements to live. Every requirement of yours is based on a certain design.  Before any work is done, it’s planning / design must be done. If the design is not ready then how can you achieve success? Only that person is victorious, who believes in his goal and believes he can succeed and plans for it.

Two kinds of people fail in the world:-

  1. Those who think but do not act.
  2. Those who act but do not think

That knowledge that does not give any spiritual or mental relief is useless. That knowledge is useless that does not create energy to do something. That knowledge is useless that does not create beauty and love. That knowledge is useless that does not create the determination to achieve a task.

Just as a gift of a mirror is useless for the blind, the gift of knowledge is useless to the person who is without the power of discernment. Good fortune and success comes to those who walk on their designated path without getting derailed by the difficulties that come their way. Do not worry on seeing the difficulties of your life since worry is like a black shroud that covers you and then you do not know what to do and how to proceed. The reality is that there is none better teacher in life than the practical difficulties that you face in your attempts to do something that you have set out to do.

And finally the real happiness in life is gained not by indulging in personal happiness at the cost of others but in giving happiness to others.

Secret of Happiness

Secret of Happiness

Secret of Happiness

Every Thought is like a seed that has the potential to become a fruit giving tree.  Your life can change with just one right thought.  The life of most people is not good only because they spend most of their time in doing those activities that they don’t like. They live in negative barren thoughts. Your mind and heart are not in the work you do.  The result is mediocrity and failure and you lose confidence in your abilities.  You somehow carry on in order to survive.  Your life becomes a burden to you.

Shabd-Surat yoga is a solution that can help you. Surat-Shabd yoga will start bringing about a change that will appear miraculous to your defeated mentality.  You will see miracles happening in your life and you will start believing that you are worthy of God’s love. This will once again give you confidence that you had once had but you subsequently lost. This feeling of support from God creates space for you to start believing in yourself.  Use that space to start doing what you like to do. Start listening to your heart. Start doing those things that you are good at and that you enjoy.  Stop those activities that you don’t like but the world wants you to do. Rest assured you will have a much better life – Aadishri Arun

What is Anger? | Anger

What is Anger?

What is Anger

Anger finds its origin in Desire. Desire comes from the Rajasic mode of nature.  Anger is an immense and insatiable consumer of indulgences and in the desire for indulgence it makes the person commit many sins.  Consider Anger your enemy.  How does Anger start?  It starts when a person starts focusing his attention on a particular subject.  That attention and the knowledge the person gains due to the attention he gives to that subject leads to attachment with that subject.  That leads to expectations. When that attachment is thwarted or obstructed by any obstacle, anger arises.

What is Anger?

Anger leads to a coarse mentality and that leads to misjudging situations because ones perception is corrupted by anger. Wisdom is sacrificed and this leads to errors in judgment.  The person makes mistakes and falls down.  In today’s age, there is almost no-one who does not experience anger. When you get angry, you don’t know what you are saying and you lose control. The first rule of life is to keep your anger under check. Those who are successful have themselves under control.  The one’s who don’t control themselves find themselves under someone else’s control. You should learn the basic etiquette of how to communicate with someone.  The first thing to do is to speak sweetly. The best thing to do when you feel anger is to not speak at that moment because what you will say at that moment is not in your control and you will regret it later – Aadishri Arun
